Anuschka "Nush" Lovgren has been riding since the age of four. What began as a natural connection with horses became a decorated international career — and eventually, the founding of New Way Equiplex: a yard built on everything she knows, everything she's earned, and everything she loves about this sport.
She has a rare gift for horses with behavioural challenges, choosing patience and partnership over force. Her coaching philosophy is simple: correct schooling, genuine confidence, and the sacred bond between horse and rider. Whether you're a complete beginner or preparing for a national championship, Anuschka will meet you exactly where you are.

Child Rider · Early 1990s
A Champion from the Start
Riding since age four, Anuschka quickly showed she was exceptional. She represented the Transvaal seven times in showjumping and eventing, earned her SANEF national colours four times as a child, and finished 4th at the 1993 Children's World Championships in Colombia. At just eleven years old, she was awarded Image Runner-Up Sportsman of the Year.
Junior Rider · Late 1990s
National & Provincial Champion
As a junior, she won Sportsman of the Year in 1998, placed second at the South African Eventing Championships, and cleared a power jump at 1.95m at just fifteen. She won the Rand Easter Show on Ghostwriter at JA level and continued representing Transvaal in both eventing and showjumping.
Adult Rider · 2000s – 2015
World Stage & Elite Producer
Anuschka rode as head rider for Billy Stewart in Scotland, selling 24 horses in eight months. She won the FEI World Cup Qualifier on Trevan Canterbury — ranking second in the world — then competed at the FEI World Cup Jumping Finals in Venezuela, finishing 8th globally on a borrowed horse. She also claimed "Most Promising Horse and Rider Combination" at the 2014 Galencia Properties South African 1.30m Derby.
