Depending on your riding ability, you'll be placed into the yard program and given real responsibilities — not just watching from the sidelines.
Attend Real Shows
Experience the full competition environment — SANESA, graded shows, and training shows. Prepare horses, manage the ring, and compete if your level allows.

Anuschka Lovgren
Owner · Head Coach · World-Ranked Showjumper
The yard is owner-managed by Anuschka "Nush" Lovgren, whose family has been in the equestrian world for decades. Having competed internationally — including a Top 8 finish at the FEI World Cup Jumping Finals — she brings world-class horsemanship, hands-on knowledge, and genuine individual attention to every rider she works with.
As a volunteer, you'll receive coaching from someone who has truly done it all — from backing young horses to competing at the highest levels globally. Her passion for horses, and for the people who love them, is what makes the African Equine Experience genuinely unlike anything else.
